Illegal Immigration Gets Nod From President
According to an article from The Washington Times, the Bush administration has asked House Republicans to axe parts of the intelligence reform bill which would eliminate or restrict some of the loopholes to immigration that were exploited by the 9/11 hijackers. The senate bill, which the White House does endorse, does not contain the immigration restrictions.
What motivation could President Bush have for rejecting sound recommendations of the 9/11 Commission and restrict illegal immigration? These are the kinds of moves that make real conservatives cringe.
